The UMSDN Startup Accelerator identifies the most promising digital economy startups from Uganda's emerging tech ecosystem and provides them with the intensive support needed to reach the next stage of growth.
We focus on ventures with a clear market opportunity, a committed founding team, and a model that can create sustainable livelihoods — especially in underserved markets across Northern and Eastern Uganda.

Deep market validation, customer interviews, and business model stress-testing with expert coaches.
Refining your value proposition, MVP testing, and iterating based on real customer feedback.
Building financial models, unit economics, operational systems, and legal/compliance foundations.
Sales strategy, digital marketing, partnerships, and go-to-market execution.
Investment readiness, pitch deck development, financial projections, and due diligence prep.
Pitch to investors, partners, and press at UMSDN Demo Day. Graduate into alumni network.
What Startups Receive
Seed funding of up to UGX 15 million to support programme activities — no equity taken.
60+ hours of 1:1 coaching from experienced entrepreneurs, investors, and industry specialists.
Direct introductions to 15+ active investors, VCs, and impact funds at Demo Day.
Full access to UMSDN hubs in Gulu and Kampala for the duration of the programme.
